The Brown Lab and colleagues developed a graduate course utilizing board games to teach evolutionary concepts! Check out this ongoing endeavor below:
Need anole photos?
We took high resolution photos on white background of the following species of anoles as part of my project on the evolution of thermal developmental plasticity: cybotes, cristatellus, carolinensis, allisoni, distichus, and chlorocyanus. SICB SPDAC Committee
I am serving as the Division of Ecology and Evolution representative on the Student and Postdoctoral Affairs Committee for the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (term 2024-2027). We work to refine mentorship programs, collate resources, organize annual workshops, and serve as a voice for students and postdocs to SICB leadership. If you're a student or postdoc affiliated with DEE, feel free to contact me with any curiosities or concerns you have about SICB (I love hearing from people).

Organization for Tropical Studies
I spent 4.5 months at La Selva Biological Station in Costa Rica in 2024 conducting my dissertation research with the Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS). OTS is extremely supportive of student researchers and provided me with a safe, welcoming, and intellectually stimulating environment while abroad. They also have an excellent series of courses related to tropical ecology for undergraduate and graduate students. I strongly recommend working with OTS if you are looking to study or conduct research projects in tropical systems, and I am happy to share my experience with anyone curious about getting started.
